Texas Roadhouse Salmon Recipe - Perfect Butter Lemon Pepper Glazed Salmon

Texas Roadhouse Salmon Recipe: 5 Ingredients You Need

  • Recreate the famous Texas Roadhouse salmon at home with just 5 simple ingredients! This copycat recipe features buttery, lemon pepper-glazed salmon that’s ready in 20 minutes. Perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests with restaurant-quality seafood. The signature butter mixture creates a golden, flavorful crust while keeping the salmon moist and flaky inside.
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each, preferably Atlantic or Norwegian)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powderFresh lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, lemon pepper seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed and well combined.
  • Pat salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing at least 2 inches apart.
  • Generously spread the seasoned butter mixture over the top of each fillet, creating an even layer that covers the entire surface.
  • Bake on the center rack for 12-15 minutes (12 minutes for 1-inch thick fillets, 15 minutes for thicker cuts) until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. The top should have a golden, slightly crispy appearance.
  • Remove from oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to serving plates, spoon any remaining butter from the baking sheet over the top, and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Salmon Selection: Look for bright, firm flesh without fishy odor. Fresh wild-caught is best, but properly thawed frozen salmon works well.
  • Temperature Tip: Let salmon sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before cooking for even results.
  • Doneness Check: Salmon continues cooking after removal from heat, so take it out when slightly underdone in the center.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently at 275°F covered with foil.

  • Substitutions: Use ghee or olive oil instead of butter for dietary preferences. Fresh minced garlic can replace garlic powder.
