Tiramisu Shots Recipe

Tiramisu Shots Recipe

These Tiramisu Shots are the perfect mini dessert for parties, gatherings, or anytime you crave that classic Italian flavor in a fun, portable size! Layered with espresso-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone filling, and a dusting of cocoa powder, these adorable shots deliver all the rich, coffee-infused goodness of traditional tiramisu in single-serve portions. No baking required and ready in just 20 minutes! Your guests will love these elegant little treats.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 shots

Ingredients

  • 24 ladyfinger cookies, broken into small pieces
  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional, like KahlĂșa)
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings or curls, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee mixture: In a small bowl, combine the cooled espresso with coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.
  2. Make the mascarpone filling: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined and creamy.
  3. Assemble the shots: In small shot glasses or clear cups, begin with a layer of ladyfinger pieces. Dip each piece briefly into the espresso mixture before adding to the glass—don’t soak them, just a quick dip! Top with a layer of the mascarpone cream. Repeat the layers once more, ending with the cream layer on top.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the tiramisu shots for at least 2 hours (or up to overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the ladyfingers to soften.
  5. Serve: Just before serving, dust the tops generously with cocoa powder using a fine-mesh sieve. Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired. Serve cold and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make ahead: These tiramisu shots are perfect for making a day in advance—they actually taste better after resting overnight!
  • No alcohol version: Simply omit the coffee liqueur and use all espresso for a family-friendly version.
  • Storage: Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. The ladyfingers will continue to soften, creating a more pudding-like texture.
  • Serving size: Recipe makes about 8-10 shot glasses depending on size.
