Total Time:20 minutes
Yield:8-10 shots
Ingredients
24Â ladyfinger cookies, broken into small pieces
1 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional, like KahlĂșa)
8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Chocolate shavings or curls, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the coffee mixture:Â In a small bowl, combine the cooled espresso with coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.
Make the mascarpone filling:Â In a medium bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined and creamy.
Assemble the shots:Â In small shot glasses or clear cups, begin with a layer of ladyfinger pieces. Dip each piece briefly into the espresso mixture before adding to the glassâdon’t soak them, just a quick dip! Top with a layer of the mascarpone cream. Repeat the layers once more, ending with the cream layer on top.
Chill:Â Refrigerate the tiramisu shots for at least 2 hours (or up to overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the ladyfingers to soften.
Serve:Â Just before serving, dust the tops generously with cocoa powder using a fine-mesh sieve. Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired. Serve cold and enjoy!
Notes
Make ahead:Â These tiramisu shots are perfect for making a day in advanceâthey actually taste better after resting overnight!
No alcohol version:Â Simply omit the coffee liqueur and use all espresso for a family-friendly version.
Storage:Â Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. The ladyfingers will continue to soften, creating a more pudding-like texture.
Serving size:Â Recipe makes about 8-10 shot glasses depending on size.
